Terms of use

Last updated 24 August 2026. These terms govern use of C&G Nest, the education platform operated by C&G Education (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using the platform you agree to them.

1. Who these terms are for

C&G Nest is a private platform for C&G Education staff, leadership, and invited parents and carers. It is not a public website and accounts are issued only by C&G Education. You must be authorised to use the account you are given, keep your sign-in details confidential, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used them.

2. What the platform is for

Staff use C&G Nest to plan and record sessions, track progress, complete onboarding and payroll tasks, and raise safeguarding concerns. Parents and carers use the family portal to see information about their linked child that C&G Education has chosen to share, and to request updates to contact or profile details. The family portal does not show safeguarding, medical, or other sensitive staff-only records.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

• try to access another person’s account, another child’s record, or any area you are not authorised to use;
• share, copy, or publish student, family, or staff information outside C&G Education’s professional duties;
• upload malware, scrape the service, or attempt to probe, overload, or bypass security controls;
• use the platform in a way that is unlawful, harassing, or harmful to students or colleagues;
• rely on any AI drafting tools as a substitute for your professional judgement — staff remain responsible for every session plan and log they submit (see safe AI usage).

4. Safeguarding and confidentiality

Records in C&G Nest may include special category and safeguarding information. Treat everything you see as confidential. Staff must follow C&G Education’s safeguarding, KCSIE, and data-protection policies. If you believe a child is at risk, follow those procedures immediately — do not wait on a platform feature.

5. Your content and our records

Session logs, plans, documents, and messages you submit become part of C&G Education’s education and safeguarding records. You must only upload material you are entitled to share. We may retain, correct, or restrict records as UK education, employment, and safeguarding law requires.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep C&G Nest available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access to protect students, staff, or the service, or if your account is misused. We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date at the top will change, and continued use after that date is acceptance of the revised terms.

7. Liability

C&G Nest supports C&G Education’s delivery of education; it does not replace professional, clinical, or safeguarding judgement. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that UK law does not allow to be limited.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect students or confidential information.
